About the Event
After a quilt is finished what does one do with all the bits and pieces left on the cutting table? We make another quilt. If we have a project that produces usable surplus and waste, what do we do? We make another quilt. This class is to do just that. Students will make a new quilt from the “skeleton” left from a die cutting project. The math has been done therefore the only thing you must do is to cut, trim and sew. All fabric is provided for the project which produces a small quilt top for either personal use or to give away. Approximate finished size is 36”x42”. Basic construction techniques are emphasized. Students will be given a bag of fabric scraps as part of the class.
Sewing Machines, rotary cutters, mats and thread are provided in the class. However, if you have favorite sewing notions, such as, thread snips, etc., you can bring them along but not required
